Community Transit Programs

Description
Provides transit services for the District of Muskoka. Two services are available:
  • Rural and Community Connection (RCC)
    • Connects Muskoka communities east and west while providing timed connections to other transportation networks within and beyond Muskoka. The service operates two different routes on two different days - Tuesday's and Thursdays.Route information
    • RCC also offers flex stop, allowing passengers to request a pick-up and/or drop off spot that is located within a five minute return trip from the existing route. Flex stops must be arranged 24 hours in advance of trip. Call Hammond Transportation at 705-645-5431 to make arrangements.
    • Riders can also request flag stops where a passenger can stand along designated route and wave at driver to indicate they want to be picked up. They can also request to be dropped off along the route.
    • The RCC service is accessible upon request. Hammond Transportation needs 24 hours notice to send an accessible vehicle
  • Corridor 11 Bus
    • Provides weekday bus service from Huntsville to Orillia, making stops in Port Sydney, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Kilworthy and Washago.
    • Route information
    • The Corridor 11 bus is an accessible vehicle.

The Community Transit Program is offered in partnership with the Hammond Transportation with funding from the Province of Ontario.

District of Muskoka Transit connects with the Town of Bracebridge transit, Town of Huntsville Transit, and Simcoe LINX.
Comments
Can be used to travel to Bracebridge or Huntsville to connect with local town service for the last leg of trip to COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

Application Process
