Bursary Program
  • direct support to youth, assisting them with costs associated with obtaining their post-secondary education such as housing, technology, tuition, books and other essential needs
  • businesses and organizations are welcome to sponsor bursaries
Holiday Hope
  • holiday hampers for children, youth and families in need
  • hamper includes appropriate toys, an item of new clothing, personal hygiene items, books and a grocery gift card
  • available throughout the year to support other gift-giving holidays as well
  • accepts sponsorship of gift hampers for families - will provide wish list
Positive Transitions for Youth
  • Mentoring for Success program provides one-to-one mentoring for youth in Durham region aged 13 -21
  • Independent Living directly assists youth over 18 years of age, with independent living expenses, technology, educational needs, etc.
Family Assistance
  • supports families in need with food supplies, clothing, toys, protective masks, technology, recreational opportunities
  • assistance with an unforeseen emergency, dealt with on a case-by-case basis (example of past help - provided help with shelter after house fire)
Urgent and Critical Care Fund
  • crisis intervention counselling for youth and family members who have suffered significant trauma
  • emergency financial support for food, urgent dental care and clothing for families and youth in transition
  • emergency support for youth living independently such as shelter, educational supports
Children and youth living in economically disadvantaged and vulnerable family situations

Youth that age out of care

Family Assistance and Urgent and Critical Care Fund - must have exhausted other means of assistance
