- Description
- Provides advocacy, programs and services to help children and youth with physical disabilities achieve greater independence, accessibility and integration
- Provides financial assistance for essential mobility and accessibility equipment including but not limited to wheelchairs, walkers, porch ramps/lifts, bath and toileting aids, and communication devices
- Owns and operates two fully accessible summer camp properties - Camp Merrywood and Camp Woodeden and provides financial assistance for children/youth to attend
- Assists with the Northern Health Travel Grant (NHTG)
- Provides parents with special education resources
- Administers the Incontinence Supplies Grant Program on behalf of Ontario Health and the Prism Medical Sling Programs
- Eligibility
- Children and youth 18 years of age and younger with permanent physical disabilities
- Incontinence Supplies Grant Program available for families with children living with a chronic disability resulting in irreversible incontinence or retention problems lasting longer than six months
