- Description
- Provides housing support services to youth in need of protection who have entered into a Voluntary Youth Services Agreement (VYSA) that can include:
- Advocacy
- Budgeting
- Grocery shopping and cooking
- Housing search and tenant skills
- Job search, creating a resumé and interview skills
- Referrals to other supports and organizations
- Skills development for independent living
- Eligibility
- Youth 16-17 years of age who are in need of protection or who have entered into a Voluntary Youth Services Agreement (VYSA)
Volunteers- Individuals 18 years of age and older interested in becoming a mentor
- Thorough screening check required
- Individuals 18 years of age and older interested in becoming a mentor

- Referral required; form available online
- Youth in need of protection can be referred to Housing Support Worker who will assist youth in applying for a VYSA with the Children's Aid Society
- Thorough screening process required for volunteers, including police records check, interview, and medical clearance and reference checks
