- Description
- Provides companionship to isolated seniors, adults with disabilities or people with Alzheimers or other dementias.
Aims to reduce loneliness among people who may have limited contact with the community by:- providing a safety check
- a friendly visitor is matched on a one-to-one basis with the client
- offers weekly visits at mutually agreeable times
- visitor and client engage in activities such as going for a walk or drive, writing letters, chatting or shopping
- contact may be face-to-face at the client's home or through a phone call
