- S.H.I.F.T. is committed to the health and safety of participants as well as staff and volunteers. Specific expectations regarding cleaning and the use of PPE are implemented under the direction of the local public health authority.
Provides safe, respectful and welcoming overnight accommodation, meals and outreach supports to those experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity in South Simcoe. Facilitates connection to other services and resources in the community. Three programs offered: Emergency Overnight Shelter, Outreach and Daytime Drop-In Centre
Outreach: A Housing-Focused program offering mobile supports throughout South Simcoe to individuals, couples and families experiencing or on the verge of homelessness, providing access to life saving resources, supplies, referrals, and supports through brief case management.- Access to basic needs, personal hygiene, and harm reduction supplies, as well as access to food and food resources.
- Capacity of eight beds per night
- Intake required for admission
- No late entries
- Access to basic needs, harm reduction supplies, food, shower, housing-related supports and computer workstations

- Overnight Shelter offered to individuals and couples experiencing homelessness, with no housing alternatives
- Substance use/abuse, mental health issues, etc. are not an impediment to stay; however, zero tolerance for use of substances on property during stay
- Participants must be able to manage their behaviours and self in order to be admitted
