Literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills
  • helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, and or GED Preparation, post-secondary education and greater independence
Eligibility
Ontario residents 19 years and older, with reading, writing and math skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario Curriculum
Must have facility in English


Individuals who are out of school * special emphasis on individuals receiving social assistance through Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Employment Insurance (EI), Second Careers * support programming for anglophone learners * those with foundational gaps/challenges in numeracy and literacy wishing to achieve PSW Literacy test acceptance, Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and or College Diploma * those with permanent resident status are also eligible

Call to arrange interview * contact Diana Petre regarding preparation for literacy test for Personal Support Worker program and or the pre-literacy preparation for the Child Care Assistant Certificate Program and Custodial Certificate Program
