Alternative to the criminal justice system for the person who has committed a non-violent, minor offense.
The assessment interview is conducted in order to understand the reason(s) why the client committed the offense. This process allows the caseworker to address needs and concerns which led up to the errant behaviour. Single options could be utilized, or in some cases combinations could be used to more efficiently deal with the client's circumstances.
