- Description
- The Quinte Grannies for Africa began as an outreach of the Stephen Lewis Foundation and that continues to be their primary focus. Over the years many of the members have also chosen to become actively involved in supporting initiatives such as International Women's Day, World AIDS Day, and GRAN (Grandmothers Advocacy Network) that advocates for affordable medicines, improved access to education, especially for girls, and ending violence against women and girls both here and abroad. GRANquinte is a local of the national GRAN organization.
