Transit Windsor Route for Fireworks:
  • For the fireworks display all streets north of Wyandotte Street will be closed effective at 6 pm.
  • Wyandotte and Ouellette will be the end of the line for all buses operating out of the Windsor International Transit Terminal.
  • No buses will travel to the downtown terminal after 6 pm

Looking for Transportation to the Fireworks
  • Zehrs will once again provide funding to Transit Windsor for FREE FIREWORKS SHUTTLE and FREE TRANSIT BUS SERVICE
  • Patrons will be transported from Devonshire Mall to City Hall Square, where they can then make their way to the riverfront.
  • Buses will continue to operate for the return trip as long as there are passengers still in need of a ride back to the mall.
  • Transit Windsor busses will be free across Windsor from 6pm-12 midnight
  • Transit Windsor is required by federal regulations to ensure all riders must wear a mask while on the bus.

Downtown Parking

Please be advised that there will be temporary parking restrictions in place in the downtown area for the annual fireworks display
  • Effective the morning of Fireworks at 4 am parking will be restricted in the downtown area.
  • Meters will be bagged once again so that the roads in the affected area will be free from cars.
  • This will ensure that people attending the Fireworks will not have to deal with traffic, making this a safe night for all.
  • No parking zones will be enforced during the day and traffic will be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Police are encouraging the use of Transit Windsor Shuttle Services which will be departing from Devonshire Mall.
  • Parking will also be restricted along Wyandotte St from Bruce to Aylmer.
