A region-wide initiative that offers support and co-ordination for nutrition programs in both elementary and secondary schools. Offers support to student nutrition programs through provincial grants and local fundraising efforts. Works together with site-based volunteers to meet the needs of student nutrition programs in each community.

  • increases understanding of how healthy eating habits affect energy levels
  • improves behavior and increases concentration, leading to greater achievement
  • improves social skills and confidence to interact with other children and adults
  • promotes nutritionally complete programs that follow the student nutrition guidelines, established by the Ministry of Children Community and Social Services for breakfast, lunch, and snack.
