Description
  • Provides culturally appropriate and specific nutrition education to women and children
  • Provides practical tips and advice on a variety of nutrition issues
  • Provides information and workshops on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Fetal Alcohol Effects (FAE)
  • Offers nutrition education in community school classrooms
Target groups include:
  • Pregnant women
  • New mothers
  • Elders raising children
Eligibility
  • Members of Deer Lake First Nation who are pregnant, new mothers, have children up to 5 years of age or elders raising children
  • Provides long term support for families who require additional services
