Description
  • Provides financial support in the form of grants to Indigenous individuals and communities, focusing on supporting youth in need
  • Contributes to eligible applicants in the areas of Sports and Recreation, Educational Support, Arts and Culture and Health
  • Provides grants to community involvement projects that impact community members in a lasting, positive way
Water Funding
  • Spreads awareness about the water crisis in First Nation communities
  • Advocates for clean water in First Nation communities with Canadian government
  • Provides temporary water filtration units for communities under boil water advisories (BWA)
Eligibility
Preference will be given to projects involving youth under the age of 25 and include:
  • Status members only
  • Non-profit
  • Individual band members
  • Community groups and organizations
  • Minor sports teams
  • Special events
  • Elite adult teams
Application Process
  • The application must be filled out and printed in a PDF format from the website
  • Applications must be submitted a minimum of one month prior to your event or commencement of your project
  • Can be submitted online, in person, by mail or courier by 2 pm on the deadline date which is posted on the website
  • Applications not accepted via fax or email
  • Notification of approval or denial will be provided 4 to 6 weeks after receipt in office
  • A commitment of a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer community service is required as part of the application
