Description
  • Provides funding that supports youth participation in Sports and Recreational activities
  • Provides funding towards equipment, registration fees, awards, facility rental (such as ice time, gym and floor time), and officials fees
  • Facilitates the development of leadership and teamwork skills
Eligibility
Focuses on Indigenous youth
  • Individual Athletes 25 years of age and younger
  • Elite Athletes - all ages
  • Minor Sports Teams
  • Special Events such as Provincial Championships, all Ontario Tournaments, Little NHL, North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), National Tournaments
Application Process
  • The application must be filled out and printed in a PDF format from the website
  • Applications must be submitted a minimum of one month prior to your event or commencement of your project
  • Can be submitted online, in person, by mail or courier by 2pm on the deadline date which is posted on the website
  • Applications not accepted via fax or email
  • Notification of approval or denial will be provided 4 to 6 weeks after receipt in office
  • A commitment of a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer community service is required as part of the application
