- Child and Family services provided by Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services, Head Office in Wiikwemkoong, ph 705-859-2100
- Serviced by air through Gore Bay-Manitoulin Airport
- Hosts an annual Traditional Pow Wow in Aug
- Serves as home to three of Manitoulin's tourist attractions: the world's largest peace pipe, dream catcher and hand drum
- Offers a community-owned Nimkii Makwa Convenience Store and Gas Bar
- Provides health care services through the Zhiibaahaasing Health Clinic under Mnaamodzawin Health Services
- Offers a Community Complex to host cultural events and community activities
- Community has plans to develop a community camping facility in the historic original territory on Cockburn Island
- Chief Irene Kells has been serving as Chief of the community for 29 years as of 2020

- Consists of two main parcels of land - Zhiibaahaasing 19A, the main reserve, located on Manitoulin Island with an area of approx 6.08 sq km and Zhiibaahaasing 19 with a land area of approx 3.5 sq km in the NW section of Cockburn Island
