- Description
- Operates a mutual support group for injured workers and their families
Provides the following Injured Worker Outreach Services (IWOS):- Offers advice and assistance on how to handle injured worker claims
- Provides information about the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies and procedures
- Provides peer support and counselling
- Advises workers about other agencies that offer help to injured workers
- Participates in law reform to improve the system
- Provides public education about the needs and problems of injured workers and workers compensation issues
- Eligibility
- Any Canadian citizen who is interested in improving the workers compensation system in Canada; do not have to be an injured worker
