- Description
- Provides educational services and supports to elementary, secondary and post-secondary school students of Dokis First Nation
- Administers Dokis School (Kikendawt Kinoomaadii Gamig) for students from JK-Gr 4
- Coordinates bus transportation for students attending Dokis School in community, students attending Monetville Public School (Gr 5-8) and students attending École Secondaire Northern Secondary School in Sturgeon Falls
- Prepares education budgets and develops education policies to meet the needs of the community
- Receives and resolves complaints and disputes related to any education matters
- Provides assistance, guidance and referrals to helps with academic issues
- Maintains lists of students, addresses and schools attended
- Provides information on community involvement hours to students about groups looking for volunteer assistance
- Provides counselling and guidance in choosing post-secondary field of studies
- Provides assistance for applying/filling out application forms for colleges and universities
- Provides financial sponsorship support to post secondary students
- Eligibility
- Members of Dokis First Nation 4 years of age and older
Post Secondary Education- All registered Band members of Dokis First Nation are eligible to apply for assistance if attending a post-secondary institution
- The program of study must be recognized as a post-secondary program by accredited academic institution recognized by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development

- Continuing students must reapply for funding each year
- Deadline to apply for assistance: Jan 31st of year you are attending
- Photocopy of recent status card
- Completed post-secondary application package issued by Dokis First Nation
- Letter of acceptance from post-secondary institution
- Transcripts from high school and any previous academic institutions
- Detailed letter of intent with program information
- Bank information for direct deposit only
