Food assistance program providing both perishable & non-perishable food (canned & boxed food, frozen food, meats, fruits & vegetables) * bread * Emergency Walk-in Food Bank * once every 6 weeks assistance * limited baby food, formula and diapers (when available) * food assistance can be accessed by appointment once every six weeks if required * Drop-in coffee, baked goods and bread.

Emergency Housing
Provides families with emergency housing which accomadates up to 10 people(s) maximum for a 6 week stay.
If The Inn Oxford's Homeless Shelter is filled to capacity, a single night arrangement at local accomadations (hotel/motel) can be arranged for individuals.

Wellness Program - Eyeglasses, Prescriptions and Transportation Assistance
Program offers either a grant depending on financial situations to the maximum of $200 * assists with the following: dental, prescriptions, eyeglasses, medical equipment, transportation to out of town medical appointments, identification replacement

Low-income Electric Assistance Program (LEAP)
Access Centre to apply for LEAP - a one time hydro utility payment assistance program * grant is credited directly toward hydro portion of bill * program begins December 1st each year * available only once

Through organized food drives we provide hampers for the annual Christmas relief program * through private financial donations assist individuals experiencing difficult times and others encountering unexpected expenses throughout the year, such as rent arrears, utility assistance, some medical / dental costs

Call and book an appointment. You will be asked for your name, address, date of birthday and number of people in your household. Bring photo ID and proof of income for each family member i.e. pay stub, ODSP or OW statement or bank statement.

Emergency food bank assistance can be accessed every thirty days. Offers canned and boxed goods. Christmas hamper and toy depot programs . Donations of non-perishable food items always appreciated.

All Volunteers are welcome.

The Food Bank provides the following items as available: packaged foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, bread, milk, eggs and personal care items. Please use Hamilton St entrance.

Food bank collects and distributes perishable and non perishable food. Food pick up on Wednesday at St. Joseph's Parish Hall, Hibernia St. entrance. Clients are eligible once every 4 weeks.

Food Bank hours - Fri 1 pm-2:30 pm (Closed Easter Good Friday). Contact church office - 519-271-7946. Open to all - drop-in, one pick up per month. Enter food bank off of Huntingdon Avenue. Masks are requested.

Food bank can be accessed once a month and is stocked and staffed by the parishioners to help those who are experiencing financial stresses.

The St. Marys Public Library offers a full range of print and multi-media resources. Books and videos may be renewed by telephone. Same library card can be used throughout Perth County.

Emergency food for individuals and families who are finding it difficult to make ends meet

Pprovides packages of healthy food for kids ages 1-14 years, living with chronic hunger. Food is delivered to the children on days when they do not attend school.
(Weekends, and daily during the 84 days of school breaks).
