Description (Service): Workplace Skills Development Program: * 12 week (23 hours a week) * program with new starts in Sep, Jan and Apr

* Earn a Certificate that you can add to your résumé * Gain a up-to-date reference * Sharpen your interviewing and cover letter writing skills * Learn how to communicate more effectively * Demonstrate successful Interpersonal Skills such as: Teamwork * Ability to handle stress and criticism * Maintain healthy boundaries * Learn how to solve problems that may have been a barrier to your moving forward * Prove your reliability and job readiness * Prove that you can follow instructions, show initiative and self-monitor quality control * Gain hands-on skills in our work-room to create products for yourself and the global community * Work with our counselors, job coaches, job developers and instructors to explore your best options whether it be employment or further education * Please note that this program can be done in modules so you can extend the length of the program or only do the pieces that relate to your needs.

Better Jobs Ontario (formerly known as Second Career):
To better help people who may face challenges finding stable jobs such as gig workers, youth and people on social assistance. If you have been unemployed for six months or longer, and are part of a low-income household, you may benefit from this program.

Employment specialists provide employers with qualified candidates and follow up services in areas including:

• construction
• retail
• landscaping
• management
• health services
• child care
• accounting
• education
• food services

Offers:

• The Options Program, aimed at youth (ages 15-30) with disabilities and barriers to employment. 13-week sessions will be offered allowing youth to participate in group-based learning, as well as to be placed in a work place with community employers. Funded through the Government of Canada's Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.
• The Workplace Success Program supports persons with disabilities to prepare for, find and maintain employment or become self-employed, thereby increasing their economic participation and independence. It assists employers, through a range of hands-on supports, to diversify their workplaces and to create inclusive and accessible work environments for employees with disabilities. The program supports career advancement of persons with disabilities who are employed full-time or part-time to gain greater knowledge, experience and essential skills to advance in their careers or have more job responsibilities.

Job search assistance: resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, coaching, and marketing to employers

Career and academic planning: assess goals and options, research all training programs, determine skill and personality fit, and assist skill development

Coaching and guidance: one-to-one and through small group workshops

Referral and access: to government funded training and employment programs for those who qualify - Better Jobs Ontario and other community programs to support goals including GED, OSSD completion, Literacy and Basic Skills, or Academic Upgrading

COVID19 No walk-ins at this time - all patients much make appointment over phone. Patients and those accompanying them screened by telephone for COVID-19 symptoms. Fax, email or bring referral to the clinic. A virtual or telephone assessment will initially take place to discuss what types of treatments are available and to see if a virtual assessment/treatment will work for you. Please limit a helper to one person to attend and then only if necessary. No children will be allowed in the clinic unless they are attending for an appointment. Be prepared to pay by electronic transfer. More vulnerable clients will be booked earlier in the day; please notify staff if you fit into this category.

Offer Physiotherapy and Registered Massage Therapy, Physical Demands Analysis, Acupuncture, Exercise Programs, Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for walkers & wheelchairs - comprehensive testing is completed in the client's home to determine eligibility, Orthotics, Social Work, Vocational Counselling, Rehabilitation Therapy, Hydrotherapy. Some services may be available in a home or work setting

Indigenous employment and training agency providing training and program support, plus services and referrals to the urban Indigenous youth population between the ages of 15 and 30

Accessibility and personal counselling services

Accessibility Counselling - includes academic and placement accommodations, learning strategies and supports, text and exam accommodations, adaptive technology, assessments, and interpreters for deaf students

Personal Counselling - includes individual counselling, same day and urgent appointments, transition programs, mental health case management, and sexual violence prevention advisor support

Passport to Wellness - groups and workshops to support students with maintaining a balanced lifestyle * call or check website for event times and locations

Good 2 Talk - Post secondary student helpline * operates daily 24 hrs, 365 days per year * provides professional counselling and information and referrals for mental health, addictions, and well-being * free, professional, and anonymous support for students in Ontario (1-866-925-5454)

EarlyON: Child-centred, engaging programs and services for all children from birth to six years of age, and their families.

Indigenous Tech Mentorship and Employment: Mentorship program aims to fill employment gaps in Indigenous representation in the teach sector. This is accomplished by our development of a series of processes and training that can equip an Indigenous participants with the required skills and training to be employable in an entry level position in the tech sector.
