This an online Support group for parents whose children may have developmental or physical disabilities, mental health issues, learning or speech difficulties, ADHD * once a year we run a Mom's Getaway Weekend at Stevenson Camp near Dorchester.

* Nexus has a pre-employment component which supports people in developing various skills, computing being one of them, through our workshops and volunteer placements.

Providing respite services to families who have children with developmental disabilities by providing a safe and nurturing home setting while helping to meet the daily physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals * minimal support or 24-hour care * this is a weekend respite program * programs and services that can be tailored to meet a wide variety of needs.

Our mission is 'to support and empower individuals to become valued members of their community'.

We do this through the provision of:
- in-home daily living supports: * services are provided to adults in their own homes and in the community
- supported independent living: * varying levels of supports are provided to persons living independently in the community

- day to day community-based support to individuals: * Passport Fund Management
- management of individual Passport Funding and provision of supports and services: * community integration program offering work preparation, volunteerism and continued education supports for youth with a disability who have transitioned from high school.

The program helps to provide positive experiences through sports while increasing socialization, motivation and confidence.

Gathering place for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their family and friends. A place to thrive in what nature has to offer. Seasonal events held spring through fall. Summer sibling camp. Includes Spectrum Living, Coaching and Consulting services. Can make bookings for sensory-friendly barn and farm environment which is a free service.

Recreational based activities for people with intellectual disabilities * currently we run competitive and non-competitive basketball, golf and bocce ball

Organization works with individuals with intellectual disabilities to be included as full community members and enjoy active and productive lives, supported living, recreation and leisure and employment.

Family Support Program
Supports families in caring for their children with intellectual disabilities and/or special needs, by empowering them to become their own service coordinators and advocates, whenever possible * we provide assistance in making sense of the local service systems and ensuring that all involved services are working together to meet the identified needs of each child and family

Options for Employment
Options for Employment is a government funded employment service for adults that specializes in assisting individuals facing employment barriers or individuals with a disability. Assistance with Resume Development, Job Search, Job training to learn how to do the job and assistance as required during employment.

Children Services
Programs are design to provide positive learning environments that are carefully planned to serve individual/group needs and to facilitate the children's progress in the social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas of development.

Provides residential care for children and youth, counselling to families and/or children and youth on a fee for service basis. Act as a satellite for Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI). Teach children and youth diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourettes Syndrome and Autism.

Social work supports to those in the developmental sector and their families, caregivers and/or supports to build stronger communities for these individuals and their families.

COVID19 Program currently on hold.

Program for adults with developmental disabilities. Tuesdays, 5 hour class with programming covering fun filled activities, life skills and community outings. Participants explore and learn money management, health and fitness, Music, Social Events, dance, life skills, cooking, social skills, crafts, art, stress management, yoga, drama and current events. The programming changes form day to day. Small class sizes (6 max).

Facile Perth assists people with disabilities and their families in Perth, Huron, and Oxford Counties to plan for and build a good life in community. That means a life rich in people and places.

Planning and facilitation is the core of our work. Through planning and facilitation, we support people and their families to create the life they want in the community. Our planning and facilitation is not one-size-fits-all. Instead of a menu of services, we get to know each individual and family that we work with, understand their unique gifts, strengths, dreams, and challenges. We then work with you to develop a plan for the life you want to live, and work with you to facilitate that plan.

Person-Directed Planning:

Planning is something we all do. We think about what is important to us in our lives. We talk to others we trust. We decide what is needed to have the life we want. Person-directed planning is just that - a person has the opportunity to think about and decide what is important to them. Most often, this includes a person's family and others who are important in their lives. Our role at Facile is to guide the process of planning, but not direct it. Independent facilitators who guide the process believe:

People make decisions about their own lives. Family and friends of the person are important and are listened to. A person's community is the first place to look for anything they need to build a good life. Everybody has dreams, strengths and gifts. People need people. Planning includes action.

Independent Facilitation:

Facile offers independent facilitation to support person-directed planning, relationship development, social inclusion and community participation and contribution. The role of independent facilitators is to guide the process, but not direct it. As independent facilitators, we are accountable to the person and their network. We are an independent and unencumbered organization, separate from agencies that provide direct services or decides who is eligible for funding or services.

COVID19 Virtual volunteering as well as volunteer from home opportunities to assist individuals who need to keep busy during this time. Assist youth to become more engaged in their communities, as well as to develop skills, confidence, and qualifications through volunteering at a not-for-profit organization. Opportunity to volunteer or be a Youth Leader who will assist a youth with a disability in volunteering by way of 'job coaching' with support of Leads Staff for guidance throughout the volunteer placement.

Fitness, recreation and sports program for athletes who are intellectually disabled

• swimming, bowling, floor hockey, basketball, t-ball, and softball

COVID19 Visitors, family or friends must be masked when on our premises. Please call homes in advance. Leadership team working from home/office. MCCSS COVID screening requirements in place. Non-denominational faith-based communities of individuals with developmental disabilities and those wishing to share life with them. 5 group homes. Virtual Day activity program. Supported Independent Living supports provided to people living in their own apartment or townhouse. Supported employment program for L'Arche Stratford adult core members.
