A community based correctional agency that provides the following programs:

Service includes:

• supervised reintegration into community for Federal ex-offenders

Community Care Program is intended for men with a diagnosed mental health issue(s) or who are in need of a supportive care facility due to a breakdown in their community based living arrangements. The program is aimed to educate residents in life skills, teach medication awareness, offer support in mental health issues and make referrals to community-based organizations when needed.

Supports sobriety, well-being and academic success by offering 13 individual equipped for student living with a large common space, kitchen area, study area, multi-person bathroom facilities, laundry room, gymnasium, and basketball court. Supports include:

• Substance use disorder counselling
• Education support
• Art therapy
• Employment support
• Weekly peer support meetings
• Individualized supports for international students

24-Hour Emergency shelter and crisis intervention for women and their children experiencing domestic violence

• offers Transitional and Housing Support Program (THSP)
• assists abused women in securing housing, social services, legal and counselling services in order to live in a violent-free environment
• 24-hour crisis line
• support groups offered for children who witness domestic violence in the home
• transportation can be provided to the shelter if needed

A six-floor apartment building with 70 bachelor suites and 5 two-bedroom suites for permanent housing, 6 of which are dedicated as accessible units, with tenants who are provided with 24 hour care from the Association for Persons With Physical Disabilities (APPD) which has an on-site office staffed 24 hrs

• also has additional bachelor units, which are used for people in the community who are in need of clean and safe emergency housing and transitional housing

Independent living program

• housing for men and women who do not need 24 hour live-in staff
• rent and food shared by residents
• offers counselling, life skills, school liaison, healthy lifestyle, social skills, referral services and follow-up

Geared-to-income housing for Aboriginal families including:

• 84 units consist of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes
• transitional housng includes the Biimskiinodin House
• rent supplement units for singles and couples
• 12 apartments for students, couples and seniors

Transitional homes that offer a residential treatment care setting with a sober living envrionment and in-house programs such as counselling services, spiritual based programs, and community programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Co-Dependents Anonymous programs.

• serves as an in-between for those waiting to get into a rehabilitation centre
• partners include Recovery Education for Addiction and Complex Trauma, Canadian Mental Health Association and Freedom Church of Windsor

Provides residential support and counsel to women in crisis, throughout their pregnancy and after (up to a year).

Support includes supporting the women as they:

• learn parenting skills and child development
• Plan for and work towards short-term and long-term goals.
• Continue education and train for job skills.
• Learn basic living skills.
• Engage in personal growth.
• Reintegrate themselves and their children back into society

Second stage transitional home for women fleeing domestic abuse or experiencing homelessness, offering a supportive, culturally based home environment including:

• providing shelter, basic necessities and food
• confidential, supportive counseling
• case management
• information and community referrals
• life skills and confidence building activities
• support to develop tools to achieve independence and self-sustainability

Provides assistance for at-risk community members and transitions them from poverty to productivity

• Women's Home includes a 6 month recovery program managed by Windsor Christian Fellowship

COVID-19 - Both the 24 hour crisis/support line and the emergency shelter remain open. All Outreach counselling services can be done in person or by phone. For support counselling call 519 354-6360.

Provides support to youth who are transitioning out of the care of the Children's Aid Society into independent living. The program helps youth access support for housing, education, employment, health care, mental health, life skills and food security.

COVID-19: Counselling has been moved to an online platform.In person services available based on need.

A 24 hour emergency shelter for abused women and their children. Trained counsellors provide support, information and advocacy to women experiencing abuse

A second stage housing program for women and children who have left abusive relationships. Offers a safe, supportive environment for women and their children. Residents meet on a regular basis for counselling and advocacy.

Transitional housing units for women, with or without children, for use up to a year * rent-geared to income * designed to support mental health concerns, substance use or dependence, or the needs of young mothers * women have access to agency services

Two second stage housing units located beside the agency for women, with or without children, for use up to a year * rent-geared to income * units monitored by security cameras to support safety concerns * women have access to agency services

Offers emergency shelter for up to 6 weeks for people and families who are at risk of or in a violent family situation * offers supports, outreach, referrals and advocacy * activities for children * assistance with goal planning and safety planning * year round workshop training and information sessions

A safe environment for women with or without children who have experienced gendered based violence.

Second Stage Housing provides independent, controlled entry apartments with rent geared to income. Utilities are included, and there are free laundry facilities onsite. Units include a fridge and stove. There are 1,2,and 3 bedroom apartments available. There is one accessible unit in the building. Rental agreements are available up to one year in length.

Second Stage Housing has support staff available to assist with connections to community resources, provide counselling, advocacy and support to both women and children. We also offer these services to women and children living in the community through the transitional support program.

Play room and lounge available for programming and groups. There is also a totally fenced in playground at each building.

Youth Homelessness Protocol - Participating agency for the Youth Homelessness Protocol, designed to assist youth ages 16-24 in Elgin County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in finding a safe place to stay and to receive the supports needed to find safe long-term housing

Fairwinds Transitional Home for Young Men - Home for male youth ages 16-24 who are in need of affordable and supportive housing * suited for youth who are enrolled in school and/or employed and working towards independence

Harmony House Transitional Home for Young Women - Home for female youth ages 16-24 who are in need of affordable and supportive housing * suited for youth who are enrolled in school and/or employed and working towards independence

Horizon House Transitional Home for Young Women - Home for female youth ages 18-24 who are in need of affordable and supportive housing * suited for youth who are enrolled in school and/or employed and working towards independence

Second Story Men's Housing Program - Housing for men ages 18 and older in a 7-bed facility

Unity House Transitional Home for Young Men - Home for male youth who are in need of affordable and supportive housing * suited for youth who are enrolled in school and/or employed, working towards independence and striving to move forward in their lives

Women's Residence - Housing for women ages 16 years and older within a 21-bed facility

Supporting families in a safe housing community by providing early parenting interventions and skill development while putting Christ's love into action.

12-unit apartment complex with furnished units that provide transitional, secure, and affordable housing and support services to women and their children who have left an abusive relationship

Average length of stay is one year * assistance is provided in seeking housing when moving on from the program * on-site programs include one-on-one counselling, advocacy, referrals, safety planning, recreation and social development groups and liaison with schools.
