Transportation service that focuses on connecting people to their community by providing an affordable, accessible transportation option to rural and/or low-income people. The program has one accessible vehicle that can hold 2 passengers using wheelchairs and 7 walk on passengers.
Eligible residents can use the transportation service for a variety of needs ranging from drives to appointments and social activities or to be linked to pre-existing transportation services within Chatham-Kent such as the bus or VIA Rail.
Drives will be provided to multiple passengers at the same time, based on destination. Transportation service is offered on a first come, first serve basis.
Passengers must provide the Transportation Office with at least 3 business days (72 hours) notice to book a drive, whenever possible. Short-notice requests may not be fulfilled, based on passenger capacity.

The Non-Insured Health Benefits Program is Health Canada's national, medically necessary health benefit program that provides coverage for benefit claims for a specified range of drugs, dental care, vision care, medical supplies and equipment, short-term crisis intervention-mental health counseling and medical transportation for eligible First Nations people and Inuit.
The NIHB Program will provide coverage for a limited range of medically necessary goods and services to registered members. It may repay some or all of the costs incurred when health care programs, products or services are purchased. This includes a range of medical, dental and pharmacy services when they are not covered by provincial or other third party health plans.
