Niagara EMS provides a Community Response Unit (CRU) in the Township of Wainfleet. The CRU has two purposes:

1. To respond to all emergency medical 9-1-1 calls as a first response unit while an ambulance is on the way
2. To provide an additional health resource to the Township of Wainfleet. This is called the Community Paramedic Program.

An advanced care paramedic, also referred to as a community paramedic, is available to provide home visits and complete general wellness assessments to any resident in the Township of Wainfleet who has health concerns.

Green Door Project
In partnership with the Green Door Project, the Niagara Falls Community Health Centre is providing no-cost, emergency dental care for individuals 18-64 years of age, without coverage for dental care through either private health insurance or any form of social assistance,

Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP)
A government funded dental care program offering free, routine dental services for eligible low-income seniors who are 65 years or older.

COVID-19: Paramedics and mental health nurses will be in full personal protective equipment (PPE) upon arrival - this might take a couple more seconds prior to making contact with patients.

Responsible for pre-hospital emergency medical care. Niagara EMS has 17 ambulance stations located across the Niagara region and operates a state of the art communications dispatch centre for land ambulance.

An urgent care medical clinic that treats: cuts and/or suturing, splinting of small fractures, minor surgeries (skin lesions), sprains and strains, mild to moderate asthma attacks, urinary tract infections, ear infections, coughs, sore throats, gastrointestinal infections, flu viruses, insect bites and stings, fevers, allergy shots, immunizations, travel vaccinations, flu shots, prescription renewals, work physicals and school physicals. Also offers Travel Medicine, Driver's Physicals and Weight Loss Counseling. Pharmacy on site.

COVID-19: Open for all patient visits and return to full medical care. Walk-in services available, please register at the front desk or through online portal. Patients will be asked to wait in car or outside to maintain social distancing. Returned to regular practice of not renewing medication by phone or fax. Flu shots available. Pneumonia shots available for those 65+ or with chronic medical conditions.

Walk-in family practice and urgent care clinic. Medical staff assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries.

Fast Web Check-in allows patients to check in on a computer, tablet, or smart phone.

This hospital accommodates 22 acute care beds, 2 transitional, 4-day surgery beds, 4 assess & restore, and 13 chronic care

Diagnostic and treatment services for people who have acute life-threatening injuries or severe illnesses. On-site diagnostics include CT, x-rays, ultrasounds, mammography, bone density, cardiac testing and laboratory tests

• services ranging from pedicures to haircuts
• services are provided in the salon located on the main floor of OSCR, in the OSCR residence, or while the resident is in the hospital
• for OSCR clients living in the local community, Bobby will bring her salon to them

Tiffany's Foot Clinic (Chiropody Services)

• located on the main floor in the Wellness Centre, apartment 107
• offers a wide array of treatments and services for: diabetics, corns/calluses, ingrown nails, fungal nails, wound/ulcer care, soft tissue injections and surgeries, compression stockings and foot orthotics

Connect Care Medical Alert Button

• available to OSCR tenants and clients
• a program that allows 24 hour a day security (for clients who are unable to reach the phone in a medical emergency)
• fees apply

Mobile service

• supports for Daily Living provided to eligible clients living in Oakville

Community Paramedicine Program

• trained paramedics offer free blood pressure and health assessment clinic onsite each Thu, 9am-1pm for tenants who reside in the apartment tower at 2220 Lakeshore Rd W
• residents can also learn about risk factors for heart disease, stroke and diabetes

The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Primary Care Paramedics and Advanced Care Paramedics provide emergency medical services to residents in Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.
