Families who have a child with a diagnosis of ASD not yet registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) should create an account, as should those families already registered with OAP who have received a letter or email from the Government of Ontario telling them to create an account.
Those families who have a child already registered with OAP, but have not received a letter or email requesting them to create an account, should wait for the message before creating an account. Their child's services will not be affected in the meantime.
An account with AccessOAP will allow families to:

Short Description
An organization run by people with disabilities * promote the rights of people with disabilities for them to take control of their own lives * offer opportunities for people with disabilities to learn skills * develop and implement services, programs and activities that empower individuals with disabilities
Programs include:
Attendant Service Application Centre (ASAC) - Centralized point of access to apply for the following attendant services offered by all attendant service providers in Toronto and York region
Direct Funding Program - Enables adults with physical disabilities to become employers of their own attendants * self manage the budget received on assistance with activities of daily living * flexibility and control on choosing their attendants, scheduling, location and the attendant services needed
Programs include:

- independent living skills training

- parenting with disability network
- peer support
- service navigation
