- S.H.O.W. (Seasonal Horticultural Outdoor Worker) Program - hires youth aged 18-30 for 5-month long contracts growing food throughout the Thunder Bay area, providing general employment training skills
- Urban Youth Farm Program - in partnership with the Lakehead District Shool Board, high school students aged 16-18 are hired for 7 weeks in July and August to build employment skills and get co-op credits for running one of the Urban Garden sites and working with local farmers

- All gardens coordinated through volunteer efforts and always looking for available volunteers
- Accept donations of cash and gardening items including seeds, bulbs, perennials, fertilizers, mulching materials, equipment and supplies such as hand tools, garden hoses, wheel barrows, watering cans, flower pots, gloves and kneeling pads
- Donates any surplus produce to local food programs

* educational facility with live animals and hands on displays
Spruce Lane Farmhouse
* museum built in 1899
* open Victoria Day (in May) to Sep
Park store/snack bar (in day use area)
* sells merchandise and rents equipment
* seasonal hours
Picnic areas and shelters (in day use area)
* picnic tables and 11 shelters with a barbecue on site
* shelter MUST be reserved
Play barn and Children's farm (in day use area)
* sheltered play area for kids 10 yrs and under
