Help Desk for Indigenous Leadership - Provides information and referrals on:

• Planning for Health Emergencies such as guidance and training on how to protect your community.
• Health Guidance such as hand-washing, physical distancing and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).
• Community Wellness and Protection such as online information for children and youth, suggestions for family activities while physical distancing, and Psychological First Aid.

A volunteer based, community organization offering a range of humanitarian and emergency services.

Emergency Management - Provides short-term (up to 72 hours), personal disaster assistance such as food, clothing and lodging in small scale disasters * responds to larger scale disasters within the Niagara Region in cooperation with government and other agencies * delivers Be Ready workshops on how to be prepared to protect yourself and your family in the event of an emergency to interested groups * volunteer opportunities available

Transportation Program - Provides transportation for older adults and people over 18 years of age with disabilities who are unable to drive or travel with conventional transit services for medical appointments, social and educational outings. Transportation available in all 12 local municipalities within Niagara. Long distance travel also possible for medical appointments in Hamilton or Toronto. Drivers use a combination of cars, vans and accessible buses to provide transportation. Phone to register for service or to schedule transportation. A specialized bus transportation service operated to assist those persons with mobility difficulties that prevent them from walking 175 meters or boarding a conventional city bus.

Provides transportation from accessible door to accessible door and is available on a temporary or permanent basis depending on the user's eligibility. The service is open to residents of St Catharines and visitors already registered with similar systems in their resident city.

Local public transit service serving St Catharines and Thorold. Also provides paratransit system for the disabled. Connections available at Brock University to/from Niagara Transit and Welland Transit.

Downtown Transit Hub is located in the MTO building, 70 Carlisle St. Hub accommodates the City and Inter-City buses with 16 dedicated platforms and a large indoor passenger waiting area.

Volunteer drivers provide transportation rides to medical appointments, banking, shopping, and social activities. In-town and out-of-town rides are available. Rides are based on availability of volunteers and require (5) business days' notice in advance. Vehicles are not wheelchair accessible.

A private service providing door-to-door transportation service for individuals with a disability. Specially equipped vehicles are available for wheelchairs etc.

A public transit service provided by St Catharines Transit through an agreement with the City of Thorold. The Towpath Terminal is located at the intersection of Towpath Rd and Sullivan Ave. Also provides a paratransit/wheelchair service for physically handicapped residents of Thorold.

A pre-booked, door-to-door service for passengers with special needs, who meet the Eligibility Criteria, have applied for the service and been approved for the service by the Eligibility Committee. The service is intended for persons who are unable to use conventional transit due to a disability.

Niagara Specialized Transit is only for those customers who are travelling from one municipality to another for a medical appointment, education or employment purposes. trips for other purposes may be permitted based on the capacity of the service. A Customer may be accompanied by a Companion, Personal Care Attendant and/or Service Animal, if the need is identified on the application form and approved by the Eligibility Committee.

The inter-municipal specialized transit service of The Region of Niagara is considered a share ride service. Other customers may be on board during the trip. The route of travel may be altered so another customer can be accommodated. The vehicle may stop and pick up other riders as it travels to a destination. Shared rides lower the cost of the specialized service by increasing productivity.

Provides transportation by appointment for registered residents and tourists who are unable to ride traditional transit in Niagara Falls.

Community Service Divisions of St John Ambulance include Medical First Response (MFR) & Youth Division, Therapy Dog Program and Search and Rescue Niagara (SARN). MFR provides First Aid to the public at various events on request and subject to availability. Therapy Dogs are available for friendly visits in the Niagara Falls Community. SARN provides trained volunteers to assist NRP and OPP when someone in the regional community is lost or missing.

A local taxi company offering a paratransit service, and out of town service to anywhere in Canada or USA

Wheelchair accessible vans can accommodate 1 wheelchair passenger, plus 4 non-wheelchair passengers without having to transfer from the wheelchair to the vehicle's seats. Clients may remain in their wheelchair while en route to their destination. Standard taxi meter rates apply in-town, no surcharges.

Provides door-through-door transportation services for seniors and those with disabilities in the Niagara Region. Offers a personal attendant driver that will assist throughout the outing and can stay as a companion for the duration of the trip. One-way and round-trip options with drop off/ pick up service is also available. Out-of-region medical & airport trips available as requested

COVID-19: As of Tuesday, September 7, 2021 we are back to regular service on all municipal routes with thirty minute departure times from the terminal. The transit terminal on East Main is currently open to the public but still following social distancing and cleaning protocols.

Specialized curb-to-curb transportation within the municipal boundaries of Fort Erie is available to those persons that cannot utilize Fort Erie's regular transit service and that meet the Eligibility Criteria.

Glanbrook Community Services provides participants with transportation services to medical appointments, dental appointments, errands, to visit friends, grocery and general shopping. Drivers will wait and can assist participants with purchases. Out-of-town trips may be arranged upon request, some restrictions apply.

Provides transportation to and from non-emergency medical appointments, grocery shopping, adult day programs, to run errands, or to other appointments or social outings. Program is delivered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a minimum of 3 business days' notice is required.

Accessible, shared-ride service providing door-to-door transportation for registered passengers who are unable to use regular HSR buses due to physical or functional limitations or health conditions. Participants must register with Accessible Transportation Services (ATS), a department of the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR).
