The centre provides free, confidential information and referral services to the general public

Matches law student volunteers with community organizations with a need for legal services * law students complete legal research or other law-related projects for organizations over the course of the academic year under the supervision of a lawyer mentor * student volunteers assist the organization by completing projects such as legal research and writing, producing educational materials, and drafting policy memorandum

For adults with disabilities who wish to volunteer in the nonprofit sector

Includes a volunteer readiness training session and support for the individual at the volunteer host site * volunteer locations are interest-based and include nursing homes, schools, daycare centres and social service organizations

Job Skills and Leadership Training - Provides youth with training opportunities, work experience and skill development through experiential learning within the Club's facility and community partnerships * grades 9-12 programs available * low or no cost training and certificates also available

Supper Club - Hot, nutritious meal provided to children and youths attending evening programs during the school year

Teen Zone - Programming for teens including homework help, computers, access to internet, games, music and other activities * access to sports, gym, rock climbing, swimming pool, weight room * leadership activities, out trips, and specialty clubs

Volunteers - Volunteer opportunities for youth and adults * volunteers assist with other programs in recreation, nutrition, social programs, and creative and digital arts * must attend orientation and obtain a vulnerable sector check (18 years and older) after speaking to the staff

Supports for people living with vision loss * research, public education, and vision health services * rehabilitation therapy for people who are blind or partially sighted * assists with building confidence, skills, and providing opportunities to fully participate in life

Independent Living Skills - Promotes independence for people with vision loss by developing daily living skills such as safe cooking, personal hygiene, banking, Braille and computer technology

Independent Travel Instruction - One-on-one instruction based on level of vision, age and goals

Low Vision Clinics - Demonstrations and consultation to help people with a vision loss make informed decisions about the availability, selection, use and purchase of consumer products and adaptive devices

Low Vision Services - Low vision specialists provide services to those who have experienced partial loss of vision to help them make the most of their sight and live life to the fullest

Safe Families is a network of families who volunteer to care for children of a family in crisis for as long as needed.

• the goal is to keep family intact
• Once the family's home environment is stable and healthy, they are reunited
• Parents maintain full custody of their child(ren) and are encouraged to participate in decisions regarding their care while they are being hosted
• the aim is to form a partnership between the family and the volunteer Host Family and see the Host Family as extended family

Free service. Trains volunteers and matches them with people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease or another form of dementia. Volunteers spend time on a regular basis with designated Alzheimer companions. Walk together when weather permits. In inclement weather, volunteers visit companion indoors or walk in an alternative environment
