Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcus (P.A.N.D.A.S.) describes a subset of children or adolescents who have either an abrupt onset of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Tic Disorder symptoms or an acute worsening of symptoms following a Streptococcus Infection.
Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (P.A.N.S.) describe the cases where there is a link to symptom onset with other infections, not only streptococcus infections. The more commonly known term P.A.N.D.A.S is a subset of the wider definition of P.A.N.S.
The organization provides support, awareness and resources to communities across Ontario. Services include individual support sessions, in person and online support groups, community awareness/educational presentations, fundraising events, and coordination of medical and educational resources.

The program is structured to help family members understand and support their relative while maintaining their own well-being. The curriculum includes schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Families learn to understand how living with these conditions affects their loved one, as well as learning new skills to cope more effectively.
