Support for families caring for individuals with Developmental Disabilities

• ​family support, shared learning, flexible supports and connections to other families and the community at large

Residential Programs

• Supported Independent Living Program - available to adults who live in their own apartment or townhouse and require some staff assistance
• Associate Living - residential support provides opportunities for children and adults to live in a family setting or supportive roommate environment in their own community
• Group Home - available for children and adults who may wish to live together with others and require a higher degree of support

Day Programs for Adults

• Clarington Project Hub (Bowmanville) - drop in activity centre for adults with a developmental disability
• Community Access and Wellness Centres - develop living skills, grocery shopping, meal preparation, safety awareness, hygiene skills, social skills, community participation in recreational activities such as bowling, swimming, library and community excursions
• 'My Day. My Way.' Day Individualized/Group Access to the Community with Support - personalized experiences, tailored to the dreams, goals, and needs of adults with developmental disabilities
• Employment Supports - supported employment program enables people to find meaningful and gainful employment in the community

Individual Support

• Support Services - resources to individuals and families to help in targeted areas including education, transportation, housing, recreation and leisure, support groups, employment and advocacy, Volunteer Services, volunteers work with individuals as role models to provide guidance for daily living skills, recreational and leisure, and literacy
• Children and Adult Respite Programs - serves families with a loved one who has a developmental disability, short term and weekend care and accommodation is provided; supported by staff, in CLOC's respite home, for children up to their 19th birthday

• Summer Sizzlers - recreational/leisure service designed for teens and young adults

Day program for adults with developmental disabilities * daily activities promote independence and personal success in a group setting fostering socialization and friendship * focus on a social, educational and recreational experience including independent activities for literacy and numeracy, fitness and exercise, social skills, music and dance, arts and crafts, cooking skills and computer skills * outings to swimming, bowling, dance, library, grocery shopping, East Scarborough Storefront Sports Pad and volunteer opportunities with Meals on Wheels and Neighbourhood Newsletter delivery.

Community mental health service for children, adolescents and their families

• serves children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, tic disorders, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, complex mental health issues
• treatment includes individual therapy, family counselling, group therapy, medication, psychiatric services and education workshops

First Intervention Treatment Team (FITT)

• for teens and adults under 35 years experiencing their first episode of psychosis
• care includes assessment, treatment and case management services

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Clinic

• assessment and treatment for children and adolescents up to 17 years with ADHD
• family and individual treatment; school support
• parent and community workshops

Link Program - supports young people between 18 and 24 years old who are experiencing difficulties related to severe mental illness; services include:

• needs assessment, information and referral to community services
• brief counselling focused on stabilization and psychoeducation
• strength-based resiliency group, access to psychiatry as needed

Treatment and supports for developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), such as day program, respite, clinical interventions, life skills development, family services, and social opportunities; includes access to Ontario Autism Program (OAP), visit website for information

Children and youth 12-18 years:

Asperger's Youth for Community Engagement and Socialization Program (AYCES)
Development of social and life skills through community and social activities for youth with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and/or High Functioning Autism; respite available after school, weekends, and during school breaks

For families of youth 12-18 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental disabilities, includes March and summer break, summer camp, and other school closures
