- the windrow clearing program helps seniors 65+ and people with physical disabilities or medical conditions who are unable to clear the windrow on their own
Services are delivered by therapists with experience providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services to children and youth with autism in the Halton region
- intervention focuses on teaching social skills, functional life skills, and social communication
Service options for birth to age 6 include:
- Entry to School: for children ages 3 to 6 years of age, registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and entering school for the first time
- Project ImPACT: an early intervention caregiver program in partnership with Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services

- Family Service Planning: a behaviour therapist helps families make decisions around priority goals, service modality, and helps connect families with services
- Urgent Response Services: time-limited service to respond to one specific need for children and youth up to 18 years of age to prevent further escalation of risk of harm to self, others, and/or property
- Foundational Family Services workshops: different workshops open to anyone who is, or has a child registered, in the OAP
- SibShop: a place for siblings, ages 8 to 13, of people with autism to meet with other siblings who may share similar experiences
- Visual Supports Clinic: behaviour therapist will create customized visual supports to use as a proactive strategy and provide tips on how to use them effectively
59 unit apartment building with 24 specially designed support care units * provides supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible * referral to other community services
- the Attendant Care Services program (Oakville site) is an in-home attendant care service for physically disabled adults who are living in Oakville, and who are able to direct their own care
Attendants provide assistance with activities of daily living such as:

Hearing Dog Guides
- help clients who are deaf or hard-of-hearing
- taught to alert to sounds by making physical contact with their handlers, and then leading them to the sound
- trained to respond to unique sounds of client's home, such as baby's cry, kettle boiling, ringing telephone or activated fire alarm
Seizure Response Dog Guides
- help clients with epilepsy
- trained to react to client's seizure by barking for help, activate an alert system (LifeLine) or get help within home environment
Autism Assistance Dog Guides
- help provide safety, companionship and unconditional love for children 4-12 years of age with autism
- provide calming relief for children in high anxiety situations, and reduce stress commonly experienced in public places
Diabetic Alert Dog Guides
- assist people aged 10 or older with diabetes and hypoglycemic unawareness
- trained to detect sudden drops in blood sugar through scent and alert to ingest something sweet
- provide help in the home or activate alert system
- ability to detect and react to hypoglycemic episodes helps avoid loss of consciousness and subsequent life-threatening effects
Facility Support Dog Guides
- used by professional agencies with individuals in traumatic situations
- trained to provide comfort to victims or witnesses of a crime or sudden tragedy
- will provide on scene support when requested to those most vulnerable in our community, as well as provide added support to persons providing difficult disclosure to police for crimes such as child abuse and sexual assault
Foster Puppy program
- bred at the Foundation's facility in Breslau, Ontario or donated by reputable breeders
- at approximately eight weeks of age, puppies are placed in foster homes until ready to return for formal training, usually around one year of age * foster families attend puppy classes in Oakville and Breslau every four to six weeks throughout one year commitment
- foster families should live roughly within an hour drive of the Oakville or Breslau facility
- puppies live in foster homes for a socialization period of approximately one year and are returned to the training school in Oakville to be screened for both physical soundness as well as temperament before entering the training program
- foster families house train puppies, teach manners, basic obedience, and socialize to situations like offices, shopping malls, and public transportation

- veterinary care is provided at the Foundation's in-house clinic

Attendant Outreach Program - Provides an attendant for adults 16 years old and up who have a permanent physical disability living in Mississauga who meet the eligibility requirements * goal of the program is to enable an individual's full participation and integration into their communities * services include non-medical support and essential homemaking and are offered between 6am and 12midnight, 7 days a week
Supports for Daily Living (SDL) - Program helps frail, high-needs seniors 65 years residing in Mississauga, Oakville and South Etobicoke, with assistance with activities of daily living, e.g. bathing, light meal preparation, dressing, in their own home * services are not available for older adults residing in retirement homes, group homes or long term care facilities
Caregiver Recharge Program - Temporary relief for primary caregivers who are experiencing high levels of stress while caring for someone with high-needs * non-medical assistance with personal care, ambulation and range of motion exercises, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, safety and risk monitoring and companionship
Short Stay Respite Program - Allows caregivers to take a break while someone else steps in to fulfill their responsibilities of looking after their loved one
Meals Programs - Congregate dining, meal delivery, and food banks
Companion Call Program - Virtual social connections * partnered with Companion Link to connect clients with trained volunteers to combat isolation * interactions will be a mixture of structured activities and unstructured social engagement * tablets and activity kits will also be provided to interested participants

Circle of Friends Program (The) - Provides an adult day service for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and/or other cognitive impairments
