Offers opportunities for volunteering within all sports offered

Offers sports and recreational activities such as curling, bowling, floor hockey, T-ball, softball, cross country skiing, golf and swimming to people with an intellectual disability. Competitions are held locally and on a regional basis, with an opportunity to qualify for provincial and national competition. Volunteers are always needed to help out with activities, in sport and with administrative support.

• primary instrument of program delivery is through community sports clubs, which are operated by a team of volunteer coaches
• programs give athletes the opportunity to train twelve months of the year in order to compete and test their skills against other athletes of similar ability

A club offering junior sailing school, adult learn to sail program and Able Sail program with wheelchair accessible boats.

Special Olympics athletes participate at local, regional, provincial, national and even world levels in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports on a weekly basis with volunteer coaches.

Programs, services, support and assistance for Canadians living with a disability * most services and programs administered by provincial Easter Seals * includes:

Disability Travel Card - Program for people with a permanent disability which offers a discounted ticket for their support person when traveling with Via Rail Canada, and Coach Canada

Access 2 Program - Program for people with a permanent disability which offers free admission for their support person to movie theatres, cultural attractions and recreation facilities

Offers people with disabilities an opportunity to ski and snowboard with support of trained volunteers and adaptive equipment

Offers ski and snowboard instruction to children and youth with disabilities

Administrative office is located in Etobicoke but lessons are conducted at several ski hills all over Ontario

Tee Ball: Created to give 4 to 7 year old children and their parents an introductory experience to baseball and softball by creating a safe, caring, fun activity as they learn the basic skills of the game.

Little League (Major Baseball): Created to give children age 9 to 12 year old a chance to play in tournaments

Intermediate Baseball: Created as a transition for players age 11 to 13 year old

Junior Baseball: Created for age 12 to 14 year old

Senior Baseball: Little league program created for age 13 to 16 year old
