Offers free hot lunch for elementary students and adults in the community * buses kids from their Ingersoll schools to the church and back for a hot lunch during school year * arranged through the school principal on a yearly basis

A non-profit organization that promotes healthy food choices, supports and provides local food education and outreach in the community

• partner with local schools to provide nutritious lunches to school-aged children free of charge
  
• children are provided lunch and 3 snacks per day

Providing families of low-income living in Woolwich Township, and parts of northern Wellesley Township, with nutritious foods for children to take to school.

A YMCA Resource House providing free programs and services to families in geared to income neighbourhoods. Activities include the breakfast club, After School Healthy Habits, Nutrition Break.

Offers school aged children and youth free healthy food on days they attend school. The mission is to ensure that all children in Lambton County will have access to healthy food choices. Contact Lambton Public Health, Health Promotion Assistant for further information.

The Food & Friends Program brings healthy food to hungry minds. Breakfast, morning meal, snack and lunch programs offered throughout Dufferin, Wellington County and Guelph agencies and schools. The goal is to provide an atmosphere of social inclusion among students who may otherwise feel marginalized, aid in decreased disruptive behaviours in the classroom, learn healthy eating habits and built strong social skills.

Each host school/agency offers different kinds of food programs - call for information.

Provides packages of healthy food for children with limited or no access to food on weekends or during the summer months.

Weekends Without Hunger - Participants aged 4-17 years are referred by schools aware of students with limited access to food in their homes. Food packages are tucked discreetly into children's backpacks. Food bags are filled with healthy food items, including 5 fresh fruit items.

Summer Feeding Program - Through July and August, all students registered in the program receive grocery store gift cards through the mail at their homes on a bi-weekly basis.

A supervised space for children to spend time before school, includes a nutritious, hot breakfast.

Assistance with homework is also available.

Program runs from 7:45am to 8:45am, parents and families are welcome.

Offers a public drop-in space for youth in the Concession Street neighbourhood. Provides hot meals, games, and social events.

Supports student nutrition in all schools throughout Grey and Bruce. Provides daily breakfast, lunch and/or snack programs to over 15,000 students. Volunteer opportunities available, call for more information.

Good Neighbour Program

• free bread and baked goods donated by local grocery stores

Kids Breakfast Club Mon-Sun 7 am-8:30 am

Seniors Café Mon-Fri 8:30 am-10 am -- breakfast, followed by light exercise and music therapy

Facilitates and oversees the operation of free programs for children and caregivers residing in the Mississauga communities of Forest Ridge and Arbour Mill and surrounding neighbourhoods


Youth Activity Programs:

• Karate club for youth 10 to 15 years ; Mon 4-6 pm
• operated by a qualified instructor from the Erin Mills Youth Outreach Program

Homework Club:

• after school homework help for children in grades 3 to 6
• 2 days per week 3:30-5:30 pm during the school year

Child & Parent Resource Centres:

• Early Years program for preschool children under 6 years and their parents/guardians
• 3 half days per week at Forest Ridge and Arbour Mill
• children must be accompanied by a caregiver
• Family Time drop-in programs, Tue 9 am-12 noon year round
• Mother Goose program for infants birth to 12 months, Wed 11 am-12 noon year round

Family Kitchen:

• for parents with children under 6 years
• food shopping tips, nutrition, meal planning, cooking skills and social eating skills for children
