The Homemaking Support Services Program provides in-home, homemaking support services to individuals on a limited income who require assistance/support due to an illness or injury, the effects of aging or are persons with a disability: mental health, physical health or cognitive or developmental deficits that impacts their ability to participate in homemaking tasks. Services may include light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation and groceries. Service allocation is based on assessed need and/or involvement of other informal or formal supports.

Supportive Housing of Waterloo has 3 Buildings.

• Main Site: Permanent long-term housing and wraparound supports to those that have experienced homelessness. Tenants to this building come to SHOW from the Region's housing list.
• Second Site: Affordable housing unit which houses 9 low-income individuals.
• Third Site: Low-income seniors residence that provides housing to 24 marginalized seniors from the community.

Provides long-term and respite residential treatment to severely developmentally challenged and medically fragile children, youth, and adults.

A non-medical homecare agency geared towards seniors * caregivers will assist in personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping and companionship at low hourly rates * clients choose the hours and the caregiver through an interviewing process * all caregivers are properly screened and reliable

Support service provided to assist with routine household activities such as light housekeeping, shopping and meal preparation. After a home assessment is completed, the Program Coordinator matches a homemaker with the senior, taking into consideration location, interests, skills and general personality.

Arranges for an individual worker to undertake basic home maintenance and/or repair jobs. Generally, the job is beyond the client's or their caregiver's capability to undertake or arrange by themselves. The job may be undertaken regularly, occasionally or one time only. A variety of yard work services include raking leaves, cutting grass, trimming shrubs, gardening and weeding. Heavy and seasonal cleaning services are also available
