GRT's MobilityPLUS service uses small bus-style vehicles to transport people with impaired mobility. People registered with MobilityPLUS can book rides in advance anywhere within the city limits of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.

The Transit Support Person program is designed for people who require assistance using transit to get to their destination. The program allows a customer's support person to travel for free on GRT's conventional or specialized services.

Any customer who requires support can apply for a PLUSone card. The PLUSone card identifies a person who requires assistance while traveling on GRT due to a disability. The person providing assistance will not pay a fare.

Community Support Connections has a fleet of vehicles which agency drivers use to provide transportation services assisting individuals to and from medical appointments and the grocery store, adult day programs, and shopping trips.Volunteers who drive their own vehicles also support the program.

Taxi services include:

• six fully accessible mobility vans
• rush parcel delivery

• airport service - Toronto, Hamilton, Breslau
• time calls - prebook taxi to avoid being late for work/appointments
• ability to transport pets to vet - must advise dispatch due to driver allergies

• bookings are first come first call basis
• pick-up / return rides must be booked at same time
• bookings may be made up to seven days in advance - up to 2 hours before
• online booking available via website or Guelph Transit Mobility Bus app

Passengers are responsible for having someone assist them if there is more than one step at pick-up location or destination. Drivers may not enter a building past second set of doors. It is the passenger's responsibility to determine if location is accessible before booking a ride.

NOTE:

• Passengers will be notified if service delivery will be by taxi rather than by a Mobility Services vehicle. Taxis used only in times of urgency.
• This is a shared-ride transportation service; trips may take up to 40-55 minutes in length.
