- these change year to year, in 2017 there was a Basic Income Forum; in 2018 there will be a housing event called Home Sweet Home where there will be information related to housing issues from one end of the spectrum (hidden homelessness) to the other (buying or owning your own home)

CPAN is a network of 62 organizations and over 600 kind and caring individuals working together to eliminate the effects of child poverty in a manner that is empowering and inclusive. CPAN works using a 3 pronged approach:
- public education
- advocacy
- practical assistance through various programs created to help local children in need

- Operation Snowsuit: collects and redistributes gently used and new snowsuits, boots, hats and gloves
- Harmony for Renfrew County: offers art-based lessons to youth (12-18 yrs) using the pay-it forward model
- creation and delivery of a School Inclusion Project in 8 schools, to assist with some school fees
- Good EGG Program: Is supporting schools to build edible gardens, so that all children can learn to grow and have the opportunity to eat healthy nutritious food.
