Offers free training sessions and skill upgrading opportunities to assist participants in finding employment.

Services include:
* Computer and internet access.
* Phone, photocopying and faxing services.
* Job search information and resources.
* One-on-one resume, cover letter, and portfolio building.
* Assistance with labour market research and post-secondary resources.
* Mock interview and follow-up techniques.
* Access to our career resource literature, Career Cruising interactive resource and Scott's Business Directories.
* Workshop and training sessions covering job search techniques, computer basics, resume and cover letter writing, financial literacy, Smart Serve training, WHMIS, and Safe Food Handler certification.

Due to COVID-19, employment services and training programs are offered online. Staff are working remotely and communicate with clients via telephone and email.

Provides certification training and employment support for women and non-binary people in advanced manufacturing and specialized technology industries. Activities include mock interviews and resume-building. Training fees for participants provided by the Government of Canada, Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Due to Covid-19 there is currently no in-person programming. Staff are connecting with clients and employers via telephone, Zoom, email and Facebook.

Program assists persons with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. It focuses on the needs of each person to develop skills to improve their employability through one-on-one and group coaching at YWCA Hamilton and work placement through workplace experience.

Offers training opportunities and employment support for young women and non-binary youth.

Services include:

• Up to 6 weeks of one-to-one job preparation support
• Up to 14 weeks paid job placement
• Additional supports for retaining employment
• Occupational Therapy support as required

This program also offers electrical and general machinist apprenticeships, in partnership with Niagara College.

Provides a variety of services to newcomers, immigrants, and refugees to help them in finding a job in Ontario.

A 6 to 8-week program to help newcomers improve their English and prepare for the workplace. Services include:

• Step-by-step training from qualified and professional staff
• Industry-specific terminology to help navigate the workforce

REP, an educational and employment program for youth in contact with the criminal justice system.

TRI-ROCK, funded by Service Canada, is an 18 week paid employment readiness/training program that is done in 2 phases. Phase I is 8 weeks long and takes place on-site at The Living Rock where youth receive a combination of practical work experience and employment readiness skills development. For Phase II, youth are placed with an employer for 10 weeks where they gain valuable job experience.

Rock Resources includes work experience, on-site coaching and employment readiness training.

A full-time day program designed for Internationally Trained Professionals. The Workplace Preparation Program (ELT) prepares individuals to work in their field through a 12 week language training, related to workplace communication and cultural practices, networking, resume, cover letter and interview preparation.
