Searching for Transportation To Medical Appointments

Accessible, shared-ride service providing door-to-door transportation for registered passengers who are unable to use regular HSR buses due to physical or functional limitations or health conditions. Participants must register with Accessible Transportation Services (ATS), a department of the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR).

Provides transportation to and from non-emergency medical appointments, grocery shopping, adult day programs, to run errands, or to other appointments or social outings. Program is delivered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a minimum of 3 business days' notice is required.

An emergency ambulance communication service provided by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, Emergency Health Services Branch. Non-emergency ambulance transfers can be booked by contacting the main administration at 905-383-9838

Transportation is available, free of charge, to and from cancer-related medical appointments. All rides coordinated through CAP's Drive & Ride program are provided by compassionate and trained volunteers.

Provides medical transportation to Indigenous seniors, those with early on-set aging, and those with complex physical disabilities. Clients can be picked up and dropped off to any medical appointments within the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Home and Community Care Support Services catchment area.

Provides driver companions to transport older adults to and from medical appointments, shopping centres, grocery stores, the bank, or social events and gatherings. Drivers can accommodate seniors with cognitive impairments, walkers and collapsible wheelchairs.

Assists eligible clients with their short-term travel to attend their cancer-specific medical appointments or supportive care services delivered by a professional recognized by Ontario's Health Care System. Services available to individuals or a whole family. Opportunities for volunteer drivers are available and drivers are reimbursed for their expenses.

Provides community support services to urban Aboriginal clients, regardless of age, who are disabled, chronically ill, frail, elderly or require acute/chronic continuum of care. Services include: medical transportation services, assistance with completing forms, community referrals, home visits, security checks, caregiver support, aid in transitioning from ODSP to Old Age Pension, and congregate dining meals and activities.

A non-emergency, door-to-door transportation service. Our volunteer drivers accompany clients to and from medical appointments and grocery shopping.

Program designed to support clients who are in the process of arranging more permanent transportation such as D.A.R.T.S or have limited or no other means of transportation. This program relies on volunteers to drive seniors to medical (or medical related) appointments and bring them home. A minimum of one week's notice is required to fill a request.
