Literacy and homework support programs provide recruitment and training of volunteers and ongoing support. In-person educational programming in Guelph is currently suspended due to COVID-19. Contact for information about virtual tutoring opportunities. Previous in-person programs in Guelph include:
United for Literacy Guelph is now running virtual afterschool educational support programs for the winter 2021 semester. Inquire by e-mail if interested in becoming a virtual tutor.
Volunteer virtual tutors spend 1-2 hours each week reading with a child / youth, helping with homework or doing other literacy-related activities. Programs are organized and coordinated through a volunteer-led Organizational Team and supported by a United for Literacy staff person.
