Out of the Cold is not running due to COVID-19. Hot meals are offered at the Elgin St Mission and Blue Door Café.

• Offers a place of worship in a Christian setting, including Sunday School for children and youth
• Provides mission outreach in the downtown core
• Operates an Out of the Cold program providing hot meals to those in need

• Provides support for Indigenous people in need of non-hospital care who are frail, vulnerable and at risk
• Meets the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of people who require care, support, information, service referrals, health education or extended support

• Referrals to community services and Friendship Centre programs

• Transitioning from ODSP to Old Age pension

• Assistance in obtaining medical equipment and supplies

Provides a daily hot meal on weekdays

Offers a variety of drop-in services including:

• Bible Studies/Sunday Church Services
• Daily meals (breakfast and dinner)
• Laundry facilities
• Pastoral and Chaplaincy Services
• Second-hand clothing (clothing room)
• Shower and bath facilities (includes towels and toiletries)
• Christmas and other Holiday functions (includes holiday meal, gift bags and toys at Christmas)
• Provides 24 hr shelter

Provides a weekly lunch and social time for community members

• Operates under the Home & Community Care Program
• Provides a hot luncheon every Wed for Diner's Club members
• Encourages visitors to attend at a minimal cost per lunch
• Coordinates presentations and activities on topics suggested by the clients in conjunction with the lunch

• Provides information, advocacy and support to assist individuals to remain in their homes as long as possible

Diner's Club

• Provides hot meals at the Centre 3 days per week

• Provides culturally appropriate programs and services to address needs of elderly Aboriginal people with chronic illness and/or any form of disability
• Offers advocacy support between individual and other agencies and organizations

Salvation Army offers family services including:

• Mary Street Boutique - low cost, gently used clothing for sale

Provides health and home support services for disabled and elderly community members in their own home

Provides the following services:

• Assessment to determine individuals health history and develop a personalized care plan
• Case management to ensure that care plans are being carried out and that the plan developed is still suitable
• Home care nursing duties
• Personal care help with activities such as dressing and bathing
• Basic foot care
• Teaching the individual in need to care for themselves
• Home support with light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation
• Home maintenance including snow removal, grass cutting and minor home repairs
• Respite for family members and caregivers

Congregate Dining

• Provides a weekly luncheon at the Community Centre consisting of full course meal, dessert and coffee
• Offers a time of socialization
• Provides transportation for attendees

Offers weekly worship service.

Two part charge with Zion Presbyterian Church (1046 Torrance Rd, Torrance). Services at that location Sundays May-Oct 9:30 am.

From November to April the charge worships together, alternating locations monthly at 10:30 am.
Worship service will be at Knox Presbyterian (Port Carling) Nov, Jan and Mar
Worship service will be at Zion Presbyterian (Torrance) Dec, Feb and Apr.

Hot lunch provided once a week.

Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the church is closed to the public and the Souper Sandwich Luncheon has been suspended until further notice.

COVID-19 Response
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the host churches are closed. Anyone needing a take out meal may visit the Community Kitchen at 11 Hanes St
