Helps individuals and families in need to avoid hunger by offering:
Food Hamper Program
- offer a regular allotment of perishable and non perishable food items such as bread, dairy products, eggs, fresh veggies and one meat option
- once a month
- quantity allotted depends on the size of the family
- mergency food kit when the regular allotment for the month was not enough and extra help is needed
- access to diapers, formula and baby food for children under the age of one
- baby bottles available through the Babies Recycling Program
- Kids Snack Packs vary depending on funding available
- snack packs includes milk, yogurt and many other different items for children
- milk for children between ages of 1 and 16
- Birthday Club for children
- Plant A Row/Grow A Row ask gardeners in the community to grow an extra row of vegetable to share with the food bank should they have a plentiful harvest
- allows other community agencies working with clients in need to access emergency food on a temporary basis
- various duties in the warehouse, serving clients, cleaning, organizing shelves and more
- high school students can volunteer to get their 40 hours of community service required for graduation
