Operation Cover Up: provide gently used winter coats to families in need.

Housing support program: Provides assistance in matters relating to housing (rental lists, landlord/tenant issues). Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) applications for hydro and gas. Emergency assistance for utility and rental arrears.

Christmas Assistance: Provides families with food hampers and toys (for children up to age 12). Application required with identification, proof of income and expenses.

Shower Facilities: Available for homeless individuals.

COVID-19 - Offer drop in COVID-19 testing every Wednesday and other days by appointment. No health card is required.

Agency assisting those experiencing homelessness in Chatham Kent. Various community events operated, including food and clothing drives. Services available include:

• laundry services

Operate as a cooling centre when an extreme heat alert has been issued. The cooling station will be open from 9 am-5 pm. Vulnerable people in need of free transportation to the centre can contact ROCK Missions 519-354-0430 ext 205 and/or NeighbourLink 519-352-5647.

Also operate as a warming shelter when temperatures drop below -15.

Community food bank

A volunteer run, non-profit organization that helps people in need by providing assistance with food.

Municipal Office for the Municipality of Brooke-Alvinston. Also operate the Alvinston food bank.

2nd Chance Ministry is a Christian outreach ministry to those in our community daily, who are in need of immediate, practical help and/or spiritual assistance.

Assistance may include:

• food vouchers, diapers, clothes, shoes, toiletries, etc.
• help with rent, hydro
• help with dentures, eyeglasses and transportation
• spiritual and emotional support
• Advocacy for help within our community
• Mentoring program is part of the Ministry.
• Accepts and moves furniture items every Wednesday
• Bureaucracy assistance (i.e. help with bankruptcies, evictions, registrations, bill payments, appointments, etc.)

Furniture Donation/Delivery:

• operates primarily on Monday
• includes items such as couches and mattresses (call for details)
• will pick up donations or deliver to those in need (Windsor, Tecumseh and St. Clair Beach only)
