Dresden Service Centre - 485 St George St S
Operates as a daytime cooling/warming centre during regular business hours when an extreme heat or cold alert has been issued by Environment Canada.
Also offer programs to assist businesses, the local economy, community agencies and non-profit groups. These programs include:
- Homeless Prevention Services - services are provided to help prevent homelessness and increase housing stability.
- Employment Placement - provides financial assistance to employers to provide on the job and formal training for Ontario Works recipients.
- Job Development - links current employment opportunities to recipients
- Community Navigation Program - assist residents with accessing programs (Housing, Education, Employment, and Income), working with technology, and connecting with supportive community services.

The program provides eligible people with disabilities with:
Extended Health Benefit If someone does not qualify for ODSP income support due to excess income from other sources, they may qualify for the Extended Health Benefit. It may help with the cost of prescription drugs, basic dental care, vision care, medical supplies, transportation to medical appointments, assistive devices including hearing aids.
The program provides eligible people with disabilities with:
- Income Support - helps people with disabilities who are in financial need pay for living expenses, like food and housing.
- Employment Supports - helps people with disabilities who can and want to work prepare for and find a job.

Rates based on OW entitlements and are issued temporarily for 16-48 days through an expedited process Ontario Works - Basic Financial Assistance may be available to assist with cost of basic needs like food, clothing and shelter as well as health benefits and employment assistance. Eligibility is assessed by reviewing family size, income, assets and housing cost. At this time applications for financial assistance and participation agreements can be completed over the phone and verified through third party checks.
