Offers free programs for caregivers

Services include:

• Play-based learning opportunities allow children to develop social and emotional skills, reach developmental milestones and begin lifelong learning
• Opportunities for sensory play, creative art, music and movement, language and literacy, science and nature, dramatic play, active play and problem solving
• Interactive activities including storytelling, songs and games
• Opportunities to connect and network with other caregivers and families

• Information about services and supports available from local community agencies
• Connections to other children's programs in the community

Works with families to promote the development of the child and find ways to deal with the challenges parents face by sharing ideas and giving support.

• Home Visiting Program - uses a family centered model that ensures pregnant women and families with children up to 6 years old on Aamjiwnaang First Nation have access to supports that reflect their values, priorities, strengths, and preferences.
• Breastfeeding Buddies - a Mom-to-Mom Breastfeeding support Program. Trained volunteers are matched with breastfeeding moms.
• Head Start Drop-In - focuses on parent and child interactions for children up to the age of 6 years old (older siblings are welcome to join).
• New Parents group - for expectant parents and parents with children 0-6 months old. Topics are related to new parents to be and parents with newborns. Topics may include: Prenatal Classes, Breastfeeding, Making Moss Bags; Memory Bears; Infant Massage, Baby Moccasins, Baby Food Making, etc.
• Fathers group - activities for fathers, grandfathers and male caregivers with children up to 6 years old. Topics vary. Activities usually include the children.
• Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder supports - The Health Centre partners with Union of Ontario Indians and Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre to provide FASD resources. Supports are available for pregnant women dealing with addictions to alcohol and/or drugs or have a child with FASD

The Centre functions as a partnership with other community agencies that offer free social, educational, nutritional and wellness programs for all ages (Volunteer Opportunities Available).

Program is a free 'stay and play center' for adults with children ages birth to six years old. Staff specialize in creating an all inclusive program that sets the stage for a child's lifelong learning. The program's emphasis is focusing on the child's overall development, emotional wellbeing, behavior and most importantly their mental wellness. Parents and caregivers also benefit by making connections and receiving support.

The EarlyON Centre promotes learning for parents, caregivers and children through early play experiences.

Drop In Centre for parents, caregivers and children

Offers child care services and before and after school programs in full French.

Offers free drop-in play-based learning activities for caregivers and children from birth to 6 years old. Parents can learn and play with their children, meet people or get advice.

Offers a range of services: reading, storytelling, sing-alongs, games, and advice from professionals trained in early childhood development.

All activities are in French. Non-French speaking children and families are welcome.
