Learners get a practical approach to filling out application forms, researching job requirements, writing resumes, and follow up on job leads.

Assist people within the community who are in need of assistance to learn to read and write in the English Language

• Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)

• Immigrant Settlement Services - includes needs and eligibility assessments, pre and post-arrival information and referral, job search and employment counselling, assistance to establish social and professional networks to promote community engagement, and assistance to access a range of settlement services

A computer lab with literacy and numeracy programs and on-site child care is available on site.

The Alternative and Continuing Education Program offers a range of programs and services for adult learners who want to complete their high school education or upgrade their courses in preparation for apprenticeships, college or university. Academic guidance counsellors are available to support learners in developing an individualized academic plan. Programs offered include:

• Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS)
• Independent self study
• Online learning courses and correspondence courses
• Co-op
• School Within a College (SWAC)
• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• International language classes for elementary aged students

Literacy and basic skills training, including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills. Helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education and greater independence.

Prepares individuals to earn high school diploma, upgrade computer, math, writing and reading skills, and improve employability skills.

Also academic upgrading that helps individuals develop the necessary skills for entry into post-secondary education, apprenticeship training or employment.

Academic and Career Entrance Program (ACE)

• College certificate program that is recognized as equivalent to grade 12 by a growing number of employers for the purpose of job application, and by community colleges and the apprenticeship offices to enter a college or be registered as an apprentice. GED preparation.
• Courses offered during the day and the evening, part-time or full-time. Also available via e-learning.

The program focuses on reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. Individuals who successfully complete the program receive a high school diploma (No classroom learning available at this site)

Help Available in the Student Centre Mon-Fri, 9 am-3:30 pm as well as on Monday Evenings from 5 pm-7 pm.
