Settlement Program (formerly Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program) -- services to enable immigrants and refugees to integrate into Canadian society including orientation programs, language and skills training to help facilitate employment, and programs to welcome newcomers to the community * individual agencies may provide needs and eligibility assessments, pre- and post-arrival information and referral, job search and employment counselling, assistance to establish social and professional networks to promote community engagement, and assistance to access a range of settlement services NSP (Newcomer Settlement Program) is an identical program to ISAP, but serving refugee immigrants and/or Canadian citizens.

SWIS (Settlement Worker in Schools) Program that offers settlement services to students and their families.

JSW (Job Search Workshops) This 3 day job search workshop is tailored to an immigrant's needs in seeking employment. Topics covered are local labour market, Employment Standard Act, resume writing, interview techniques, etc.

• 6 week part-time in-class training courses targeting various skill and occupation specific areas
• Work placements with local employers
• One-on-one employment coaching and access to a variety of employment supports and community resources
• Free childcare is available for children 3 months to 6 years of age during the day and 2.5 to 12 years of age in the evening
• Transportation assistance is available for eligible clients

Funds are provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) * services are provided in a culturally competent manner by multilingual staff and volunteers

Information and Orientation Services for Newcomers:

• assesses needs and provides guidance to make informed settlement decisions
• provides timely, useful, and accurate information
• develops settlement plans to meet needs and help establish priorities
• assists with appointment scheduling and registration for appropriate programs
• assistance with coping with the problems of everyday living, and navigating the Canadian system
• information on the rights and obligations of newcomers
• one-on-one, family, and group information sessions to enhance newcomer integration into society
• information packages, including web-based information sources and referrals to IRCC programs and other programs/services in the community

Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) - Settlement Worker at library branch provides information and referral about resources offered by the library and the community * program offered in partnership with London Public Library

Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) - Assists newcomer students and their families settle into school and community * program offered in partnership with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB), the London Catholic District School Board (LCDSB), and community agencies

Assists highly skilled internationally trained immigrants (ITIs) gain equivalent work experience in Ontario

• regulated occupation (for example, nursing, engineering, etc.)
• non-regulated occupation currently in demand, such as information technology, financial services

Supply Chain Technical Training - Program delivered in partnership with the London Chapter of the Association for Production and Inventory Controls that links supply chain demand with international trained talent

Occupation-Specific Language Training (OSLT) - Workplace language training program designed specifically for the business, technology and health care sectors * program includes interacting effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients, written communication and comprehension, with a focus on occupation-specific terminology, workplace practices, cultural awareness, and searching for Canadian work experience * assists newcomers to develop language and communications skills to develop strong interviewing, networking, and job-search communication skills * 12 week program

Certificate programs for Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) and Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) assist students to improve skills to achieve Grade 12 equivalency for admission to Ontario colleges, apprenticeship programs, and for consideration by employers * improve skills in:
