Provide sailing opportunities for people of all ages living with a physical or cognitive disability
- focuses on the Martin 16 sailboat that can be sailed with either a companion instructor in the stern seat or solo by individual sailors
- sailors who want to advance their skills from casual day sailing to racing are taught the fundamentals of sailboat racing under the tutorship of trained instructors
Group Therapy: Treatment and Counselling
Focus is to improve a child/youth's self-esteem and emotional regulation by helping them understand the feelings they are experiencing and developing effective coping strategies; enhances a child/youth's social competences by increasing their awareness of the social cues around them and perspective taking

In addition to this program, parent/caregivers are encouraged to attend the Family Support Program which offers support and skills building including information and strategies to work with their child's social/emotional and behavioural challenges; and effective ways of connecting with the school system
Group Therapy: School-Focused Treatment and Counselling
For clients/youth between Grade 1 and Grade 8 who are experiencing significant and pervasive emotional, social or behavioural needs that are impacting the school setting despite in-school supports

- children/youth attend once a week, 12 noon-2:30 pm
- possible diagnosis/query: ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, OCD, LD, Depression
The program requires partnership and collaboration with the school and the family starting at the referral level and throughout treatment. Parents/Caregivers participate in Family Support Group and individual meetings with Child Youth Family Counsellor
Structured program where staff and volunteers are committed to responding to the individual needs and interests of clients with developmental disability with moderate to high independence

Children's mental health and autism services include:
YODA (Youth Overcoming Depression & Anxiety):
* services youth in grades 6-8 requiring support to address issues of anxiety & depression and/or having difficulty functioning in their home, school and community environments
* offers 10 week group treatment programs in community schools in North Halton (covers Oakville) and Burlington
Day treatment programs:
* for children and youth with significant social, emotional, and/or behavioural needs, in partnership with the Halton District School Board
* each program is located in a community school, open to all areas of the region, elementary and secondary, combined focus of mental health and education
Woodview Learning Centre:
* private school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, located at 69 Flatt Rd, Burlington (fee-based program)
HIP (Halton Intensive Program):
* outreach services include home-based services and supports for children ages 6-12 with serious social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
LINKING:
* offers support for youth and families experiencing a high degree of conflict
E.I.E.I.O (Early Identification, Early Intervention Outreach):
* 20-week school-based therapeutic program for children ages 6-8 showing signs of significant social, emotional and/or behavioural problems and some difficulty in the school setting and/or at home
* offers families an opportunity to build on their strengths, skills and relationships
Halton Autism Services (Ontario Autism Program):
* for children with a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
* detailed assessments, intensive individualized instruction focused on skill building and generalization of core skills to other environments
* skill building services and supports for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder
* individualized plans, family involvement in setting goals, in home and in community settings, parenting workshops
Caregiver Mediated Early Years - Project ImPACT:
* 12-week early intervention caregiver program
* offers assistance from certified ABA therapists to set individualized goals for children

Facilitates an integrated and coordinated intake process to identify needs of children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Provides access to Family Support Workers to assist families with service and program navigation and support, including direct funding options.
There are also some online services and technology training.
Provides a network for social and technical support with skills development delivered through group training and potential one-on-one mentoring

- provides professional guidance and skills training towards finding employment

Provides residential support to adults with developmental disabilities living in apartment settings. This is an option for a person who chooses to live independently or with a roommate.
