A board that determines priorities and objectives for community police services

The role of the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) is to:

• resolve disputes between landlords and tenants through mediation or adjudication
• resolve eviction applications from co-ops
• provide information to landlords and tenants about their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA)

The LTB's customer service officers process applications, schedule hearings, and provide information to the public about the Residential Tenancies Act. Customer service officers do not provide legal advice.

Import and export inspection, humane transport, animal welfare and disease control
Delivers and/or coordinates the full range of operational administrative services required for domestic and import related permissions, which includes:

• licenses

• registration (excluding export certification activities)
• checks animals (livestock) for possible reportable infectious diseases
• handles import and export inspection of animals, animal products and animal by-products

Canadian food safety system is an area of shared jurisdiction between provincial, territorial and federal governments and is composed of medical, public health, and food inspection systems.

Rabies is a reportable disease under the Health of Animals Act. All suspected cases must be reported to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for immediate investigation by inspectors.

Manages the Children's Early Years service system for the Wellington delivery area, which includes the County of Wellington and City of Guelph ; delivers public funding to licensed child care programs ; supports families' access to licensed child care by offering financial support to help families pay for licensed child care through child care subsidies ; provides intake services for children with disabilities and special needs who are new to a licensed child care program.
