Volunteer-based organization that delivers meals to seniors and people with health issues twice per week

Meal Program - delivery of hot nutritious meals to the clients home five days per week

Disease prevention and health promotion, providing a wide range of health and social services to the community

Programs offered:

• Home support/long term care - personal support, light housekeeping and relief services for seniors and disabled in the community
• Family support - prevention and intervention, counselling with adults, youth and children as well as parenting classes and other groups as deemed appropriate and providing an intake process to assist with internal/external referrals
• Community wellness workers - offers youth prevention, social education, community awareness
• Human service cook - provides breakfast program for the children attending LSK Elementary School and prepares the Meals on Wheels program for the elderly
• Ontario Works (Welfare/employment) - provides temporary financial assistance in company with employment counselling, support in life skills, and literacy to help reintegrate them into the work force

Home-cooked healthy meal support for senior shut-ins, folks recovering from surgery, and bereavement support. Food program is designed to help alleviate the stress of shopping, prepping, and cooking when a person or family is struggling with other emergency issues.

Note: Intended for one-time offering of 5 home-cooked meals

Drop-in lunch program

Hot lunch meals are delivered to the homes of elderly, convalescent, disabled persons, or any person in need of a meal and unable to provide for themselves. Meals consist of soup, full course meal (meat, vegetable, starch), and dessert. 24 hours notice is required to initiate or cancel.

Provides meals prepared from fresh foods and frozen the week prior to delivery or pick-up. Offers 35 different entrées and desserts over a 5 week rotation plus 7 different soups each week. Meals are delivered to the door or can be picked up at the ACS office. Cooking times and instructions are provided on the cellophane cover of every entrée. Some dietary restrictions available.

Assisting with the spiritual and material needs of the poor regardless of race, creed, or colour

Special diet types available, cooking instructions are provided on the packaging. All meals prepared at Ina Grafton Gage Village in Niagara.

No deliveries on holidays and weekends, but additional meals may be requested to accommodate. Special diet types available, all meals are prepared at Wentworth Lodge Long-Term Care Facility.

Service provides frozen meals prepared from fresh foods to seniors and those requiring additional nutritional assistance. Meals are delivered weekly, or can be picked up at the Glanbrook Community Services office. Special diet types available, cooking instructions are provided on the packaging. Meals provided by Ina Grafton Village in St. Catharine's and by Zarky's in Hamilton.

Program offers a monthly nutritious meal and social time at a location in Glanbrook/Binbrook. Participants from outside of Glanbrook are welcome, but must arrange their own transportation. Transportation can be arranged for participants who reside in Glanbrook.

Hot, nutritious, three-course meal delivered during the noon hour. Meal includes salad, main course of meat, potato and vegetable, and dessert. Specialized meals can be made upon request.

Weekly home-cooked lunch followed by a community-based program, such as live music, guest speakers, theme parties, cooking demonstrations, dancing, slideshows, and more.

Provides delivered meals for residents who are unable to attend to their own nutritional needs, yet wish to continue living independently in the community. Volunteers are selected through a screening process and provide social contact as well as monitor the well-being of the client.

Meals on Wheels (Frozen) - Clients are given several frozen meal options to choose from and special dietary items are also available. All meals can be easily reheated in a microwave or conventional oven.

Meals on Wheels (Hot) - Affordable, hot, and nutritious meals, delivered to clients' doors.

Due to COVID-19 this program has been temporarily cancelled.

Program offers a lunch for all seniors.

Provides community support services to urban Aboriginal clients, regardless of age, who are disabled, chronically ill, frail, elderly or require acute/chronic continuum of care. Services include: medical transportation services, assistance with completing forms, community referrals, home visits, security checks, caregiver support, aid in transitioning from ODSP to Old Age Pension, and congregate dining meals and activities.
