Transportation:
Provides frail seniors, and adults over the age of 18 with a physical or cognitive condition needing a non-medical escort local and long distance drives to medical appointments, central Home and Community Care Support Services funded ADP's, grocery shopping, personal errands and social outings. Priority is given to clients requiring drives to chemotherapy and dialysis appointments etc and other medical appointments before errands, shopping and outings. Clients are encouraged to call as far in advance as possible to arrange transportation.

Bread of Life -- food baskets distributed monthly to local families

Nutritious meals delivered on a weekly basis directly to the client's residence * a contact free security check is part of the service * offers more than 100 frozen entrees, soups, snack packs and desserts * special dietary menu items are available * diabetic, low fat, low salt, vegetarian, pureed, minced

CHATS uses contact free delivery processes. If assistance is required, please inform coordinator.

Seeds for Change (Urban Agriculture)

• community gardens
• workshops for growing and processing food, urban agriculture development

Good Food Box -- fresh produce for purchase

Community Breakfast -- drop in to help prepare then enjoy free breakfast with other community members

Community Cooks -- food safety knowledge and skills for food shopping, preparation and storage through hands-on training in commercial kitchen

Delivers fresh nutritious noon hour meals three days a week to residents of Alliston who are unable to prepare meals independently, or for anyone in need whose lifestyle could be enhanced by having a meal prepared for them. Special diets such as diabetic and gluten free will be accomodated. Cost per meal $6.

Rural deliveries are possible but are limited to the following service areas:

• West to Hwy 50
• North to Base Borden (not including Angus)
• East to Green Briar (Line 5)
• South to Loretto

If scheduled meal delivery falls on a holiday, meal will be delivered the following business day.

Project Lifesaver Caledon

• for individuals who may wander due to cognitive impairment including Alzheimer's Disease, autism, Down Syndrome and acquired brain injury
• individuals are equipped with a wrist transmitter which sends a radio signal that can be tracked

Barrie Good Food Boxes are a monthly box of assorted fresh fruits and vegetables, available to anyone in the community

• bulk ordering of fresh, high-quality produce (Ontario when possible) at wholesale pricing
• each box comes with an a monthly e-newsletter with health, dietary and produce information
• one size available: $20 box includes 10 lb bag of potatoes, 2 lb bag of carrots, 2 lb onions, bag of apples, and other seasonal fruits and vegetables

For individuals 55 years and older living with dementia; open to frail seniors without cognitive impairments, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; observes Jewish culture and traditions, but all are welcome
