Transportation:
Provides frail seniors, and adults over the age of 18 with a physical or cognitive condition needing a non-medical escort local and long distance drives to medical appointments, central Home and Community Care Support Services funded ADP's, grocery shopping, personal errands and social outings. Priority is given to clients requiring drives to chemotherapy and dialysis appointments etc and other medical appointments before errands, shopping and outings. Clients are encouraged to call as far in advance as possible to arrange transportation.

Community light lunch for older adults, seating for 65 patrons, first come, first serve, visit website for information

Seniors club for individuals in the community, offering different membership options all in an environment designed for seniors * daily activities, outings, parties, meals, special events * massages, foot care and physiotherapy fit exercise classes * members are eligible to receive a 10% discount on bus excursions that are offered ten times per year * Lifestyle Membership for activities and socialization * Diner's Club for nutritious and delicious meals * Wellness Membership providing you with a one-stop location to address most of your wellness needs * no long term commitments

Program includes a variety of activities that promote health and wellness and provide social activities based on needs of participants * services include nutritious meals or snacks, social and recreation activities, education and transportation where available

Nutritious meals delivered on a weekly basis directly to the client's residence * a contact free security check is part of the service * offers more than 100 frozen entrees, soups, snack packs and desserts * special dietary menu items are available * diabetic, low fat, low salt, vegetarian, pureed, minced

CHATS uses contact free delivery processes. If assistance is required, please inform coordinator.

Delivers fresh nutritious noon hour meals three days a week to residents of Alliston who are unable to prepare meals independently, or for anyone in need whose lifestyle could be enhanced by having a meal prepared for them. Special diets such as diabetic and gluten free will be accomodated. Cost per meal $6.

Rural deliveries are possible but are limited to the following service areas:

• West to Hwy 50
• North to Base Borden (not including Angus)
• East to Green Briar (Line 5)
• South to Loretto

If scheduled meal delivery falls on a holiday, meal will be delivered the following business day.

Exercise and Falls Prevention

Luncheon Out

• opportunity for adults with physical disabilities and the frail elderly to enjoy a hot nutritious meal

• luncheons are held at preset times
• transportation can be arranged

Telephone Reassurance

• telephone reassurance calls may last between 5-7 minutes for a friendly check-in and brief chat
• security calls are intended for check-ins on well-being and follow a different protocol than social calls

Community Food Box

• for vulnerable members of our community that are unable to safely acquire the essentials for $35.50
• depending upon availability may include eggs and dairy, breads and baked goods, pasta and soups, beverages, paper products, fruits and vegetables

Meals on Wheels™

• nutritionally balanced meals to people who are unable to prepare meals or easily shop for groceries
